Drop-off Center is located on Eighth Ave. beside Frisco Fire Station
Both drop-off centers are open Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are
closed on Sundays and Holidays.
PLEASE USE THIS GUIDELINE TO SORT YOUR RECYCLABLES AND PLACE IN THE APPROPRIATE
BIN AT THE DROP-OFF CENTER:

Aluminum Cans: please crush cans.

Aluminum Pie Plates and Foil: pie
plates and foil should remain separate from aluminum cans.

Appliances: accepted at the Summit
County Landfill only. $10 fee per appliance. Freon must be removed from
refrigerators, contact SRP at 668-5703 for info. We highly recommend
contacting the landfill (468-9263) or us before making the drive as the
landfill closes under certain conditions (ie high winds, etc).

Batteries: automobile batteries;
household (alkaline, carbon, zinc, nickel, lead or silver) batteries.

Corrugated Cardboard: two-layered
cardboard with fluted middle, kraft paper bags. Flattened and clean. Some
staples and tape okay.
NO! food or dirt on boxes.

Glass Bottles and Jars: May combine
colors, however we prefer brown bottles separate. Labels okay. Rinse.
NO! caps, lead foil from wine
bottles, ceramic, dishes, drinking glasses or windows.

Paperboard (aka Chipboard): six
pack containers, cereal boxes, etc. Flatten and place in the brown
dumpsters with cardboard.

Phone Books: place in bins labeled for phone books

Scrap Metal: Accepted at the Frisco
drop-off center only.

Tin (Steel) Cans: Rinse and flatten.
Labels okay.

Used Motor Oil: bring in gallon
containers and place in 500 gallon container at site.
NO! other fluids

Used Motor Oil Filters: place in oil
filter 55 gallon bin NO! do not mix with other fluids.

Toner Cartridges, Cell Phones, and
Rechargeable Batteries: Bins located at Frisco site in Battery Shack.

Skis and Poles: For large quantities,
please contact SRP at 668-5703 to check on collection status.
Paper: sort by the following:
- Magazines and Catalogs:
Any slick coated, stapled or small glue-bound papers.
NO! phone books, junk mail or
newspaper inserts.
- Newspaper: May include
inserts that come with the paper.
NO! string, bags or bundled
paper.
- Office Pak: white or
colored paper, envelopes (with or without windows), copy paper, computer
paper, notebook paper, fax paper, yellow legal pad paper, NCR forms, opened
direct mailings, file folders, pamphlets, brochures, register receipts, index
cards, post-it notes, staples and paper clips are okay.
NO! manila (brown, any size)
envelopes, flourescent or deep-toned papers, paper ream wrappers (wet-strength
paper), self-adhesive labels, tyvek envelopes, groundwood paper, wrapping
paper, carbon papers, hanging file folders, paper bags, blue prints,
newspapers, magazines, tissues, paper towels or cups
- White Ledger: white
letterhead, copier, laser printer paper, mostly black ink on a white
background
NO! envelopes, notebook paper,
paper ream wrappers, or thermal fax paper
Plastics: sort by the following:
- #1 bottles: soda, juice
and beverage bottles; squeeze bottles, peanut butter jars
- #2 translucent bottles:
milk, water jugs, juice bottles
- #2 colored bottles:
shampoos, conditioners, lotion, detergents, household cleaning and juice
bottles
NO! plastic cups,
detergent scoops, motor oil containers, or lids on bottles.
Household Hazardous Waste
(including paint, antifreeze, cleaners, pesticides, etc.) is now accepted on an
on-going basis. Appointments are required. Go to the
HHW page for details.
SPECIAL COLLECTION EVENTS ARE HELD ANNUALLY FOR THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS:
Electronics (including computers and TVs), Christmas Trees, Tires, Wood
Waste/Slash. Please, do not leave these materials at the drop-off centers.
